Approved by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China [Commercial Service Trade Approval (2018) No. 748], the 19th Asia Pacific Retailers Convention and Exhibition&International Consumer Goods Fair, which is Organized by Federation of Asia Pacific Retailers Association and China General Chamber of Commerce, will be held in Chongqing International Expo Center on Sept.5th-7th,2019.
As one of the world's three major retail events, the Asia Pacific Retailers Convention and Exhibition (APRCE) is the largest and most influential retail event in the Asia Pacific region.The biennial APRCE has been successfully held for 18 times, oftenly attracting more than 3,000 global retailer giants, industry experts and scholars, celebrities, government officials, as well as many international well-known retail enterprises.
The theme of the 19th’s APRCE is ‘New Retail, New Consumption, New dynamics-, Cooperation and Sharing’. The convention will be held in the form of ‘Forum + Exhibition’. Four pavilions will be opened, with over 50,000 square meters and 2,500 booths. There are International and Domestic Smart Retail，Vending System Facilities, Unmanned Retail Supporting，Retail Cold Chain Logistics ，High-end Retail Brand Theme exhibition area. In the same period, several business project promotion meetings and cooperation fairs will be held.
Founded in 1989, the Federation of Asia-Pacific Retailers Associations (FAPRA) was registered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia，in August 2017. It has been implementing its activities and developing itself with the aim of discussing issues shared in the region, and promoting information exchange and friendship, thereby contributing to the development of commerce, the improvement of retailers' status and the improvement of citizens' lives in the region.
For the term of 2017 to 2019, Malaysia Retailers Association serves as the Chairman and Honorary Secretary General, Philippines Retailers Association as the Vice Chairman, China General Chamber of Commerce as the Vice Chairman and Honorary Treasurer of FAPRA.
In line with the principle of improving daily work efficiency, expanding influence and standardizing the operation of the organization, FAPRA has established its Secretariat office in Beijing, China, operated by China General Chamber of Commerce.
FAPRA now has 19 members, which are China General Chamber of Commerce, Japan Retailers Association, Korea Retailers Association, Australian Retailers Association, Retail New Zealand, Singapore Retailers Association, the Philippines Retailers Association, Malaysia Retailers Association, Indonesia Retailers Association, Thai Retailers Association, Association of Vietnam Retailers, Federation of India Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Turkish Council of Shopping Centers and Retailers, Fiji Retailers Association, Hong Kong Retail Management Association, Retailers Association of Chinese Taipei, Myanmar Retailers Association, Chamber of Commerce of Kyrgyzstan.
